Zeta functions can be attached to several mathematical objects like fields, groups, algebras, functions, and dynamical systems. Typically zeta functions encode relevant arithmetic, algebraic, geometric or topological information about the original object.
The second workshop was held in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, from May 3th to May 7th, 2010.
The proceedings of the conference were published by the American Mathematical society.
The first workshop was held in Segovia, Spain, from June 25th to June 29th, 2007. Both workshops had about 25 plenary talks and more than 45 participants, from Europe, Japan, Latin America and U.S.A.
The conference will be hosted by The Center for Research in Mathematics A.C., CIMAT. This is one of the National Council of Science and Technology’s (CONACYT) Public Research Centers. It was founded in the city of Guanajuato in 1980 with the aim of fostering research, study, development and dissemination of mathematics and its applications in various areas of scientific and technological development.
